This series of 3d exterior renderings show the virtual simulation of various apartment buildings for clients in France, Hungary and Spain. These 3d exteriors were created by combining two different techniques: one virtual and one real. Various pictures were created by using an aero-static balloon which contained a camera for all access and angles. The balloon was directed by remote control from the ground, the photographs were collected and sent by email to Pixeldreams. Pixeldreams created 3d home exteriors of the future construction from the base plans provided by the architect and did the final photo-montage with the aerial photos.
To achieve the highest possible quality of realism and integration the virtual model needed to be illuminated in the exact means and direction as that which was photographed.
