Desigual: The product as a service and the improvement of the experience at the point of sale.
Project to create a 360º product configurator for DESIGUAL in order to accelerate the design processes, testing and market trends. Product differentiation and customization are the new market drivers. During this project, our objective was to facilitate the interaction between DESIGUAL's creative and product development departments. Information exchange between departments typically does not keep pace with product changes, especially in the rapidly evolving clothing and footwear sector. Our solution consisted in the realization of a 3D information management platform in all its scope: After an initial process of scanning the garments in 3D, the information was arranged in a single source or interactive 3D model so that the changes could spread instantly through a "drag & play" system, which allowed to guarantee the quality of the data and the efficient reuse of the assets. The solution was also programmed to support simultaneous workflows that could ensure seamless collaboration between workers.
Companies in the apparel and footwear sector are competing in the world of fast fashion, requiring them to launch products to market in a matter of days. The agility of the graphic design and the reuse of assets was imperative to achieve that goal.
In the apparel, footwear and accessories market, graphic design is just as important for product design as it is for packaging and label. Graphic design agility is crucial in the final stretch of delivering custom product designs within days.
The system allows you to inspect the product in 360º as well as being able to move, rotate, scale and superimpose textures with total precision.

According to the opinion of the heads of retail companies, 70% of companies will create products where personalization will be the most decisive aspect in the purchase decision.
Thus, the logistics strategy must be oriented, according to 88% of companies, to hyper-availability. Added to this is the growing concept of product as a service and the rise of the collaborative economy.
From the physical to the digital world: Using 3D scanning, information from the physical world is captured and a digital record of it is created. After this phase, information is shared and interpreted using advanced analytics, scenario analysis and artificial intelligence to discover relevant information.
From the digital to the physical world: After applying algorithms to analyze the data and interpret the decisions of the digital world, the data obtained is transferred to the physical world, stimulating actions and changes in the business model.
In the past, verifying a product and its packaging before marketing a product required a lengthy and expensive process that involved the creation of one or more physical mockups. Today, in a consumer market demanding customization, innovation and speed, this process is becoming less and less viable.
Our digital mockup and design review solutions enable supply chain teams to assemble, visualize, and analyze models for potential problems early in the process, prior to manufacturing.
