Innovation in Water Purification with CORSA Digital Twin Software.

Grupo Corsa, a Barcelona-based company founded in 1974, has distinguished itself for its dedication to the design and manufacture of high-quality water purification equipment.

Specialized in osmosis systems, the company focuses on water decalcification and ozonation, with the aim of eliminating the use of plastics, detergents and chemicals that pollute the environment.

Its new series, Osmotic Zero, promises not only to eliminate bacteria and viruses, but also to optimize water use by 100%, in line with its commitment to sustainability.

To maintain its competitive advantage and modernize the presentation of its technology, Corsa approached Pixeldreams with a clear mission: to develop a Digital Twin software that would make it easier for the sales team to explain in detail the water purification flow and the cutting-edge technology used in each component of the Osmotic system.
This Digital Twin was not only to be a commercial tool, but also an educational resource for remote training of the teams responsible for maintenance and filter replacement.

Creating a Digital Twin via App to Showcase Osmotic 3D Product

The collaboration between Corsa and Pixeldreams resulted in the creation of a highly interactive digital twin. Through a corporate app, users can explore every aspect of the Osmotic system in a detailed 3D environment, visualizing the product's properties, features, and configuration. This Digital Twin software enables sales and maintenance teams to better understand the technology, improving both operational efficiency and customer experience.

Digital Twin Retail: Revolutionizing Retail

In an increasingly digital world, Digital Twin software is not limited to the manufacturing industry or the service sector; it is also revolutionizing retail.

With Digital Twin, businesses can create exact digital replicas of their products, allowing for remote monitoring and real-time adjustments. This technology offers the ability to simulate the entire lifecycle of a product, from manufacturing to the end consumer, optimizing each stage of the supply chain. At Pixeldreams, we have taken this technology one step further, allowing retailers to not only monitor their products, but also make dynamic adjustments and updates in real-time. This translates into more efficient logistics and an optimized supply chain, which responds quickly to changing market demands. By adopting Digital Twin Retail, businesses are equipped to evolve along with their products, ensuring that each stage of the process, from production to sale, is perfectly aligned with consumer needs.

How to Create a Digital Twin?

Creating a Digital Twin requires meticulous planning and precise execution. Although the concept may seem complex, it can be broken down into several key phases:
  • Identifying Objectives: The first step in creating a Digital Twin software is to clearly define the objectives of the project. Will the digital twin be used to improve manufacturing processes, optimize the supply chain, or perhaps for training purposes? In Corsa’s case, the goal was twofold: to provide a visual tool for the sales team and to facilitate remote training of its technicians.
  • Collecting Data: A Digital Twin is only as accurate as the data that feeds it. Therefore, it is essential to collect detailed data on all aspects of the system or product that you want to digitally replicate. In developing the Digital Twin for Osmotic, extensive data was collected on water flow, osmosis technology, and individual system components.
  • 3D Modeling: Once the data has been collected, the next step is to create a detailed 3D model of the product or system. This model must be accurate enough to replicate all the physical and functional characteristics of the real product. At Pixeldreams, we use advanced 3D modeling software to ensure that every aspect of the Osmotic system is reproduced with the utmost precision.
  • Data Integration: With the 3D model in place, the next step is to integrate the collected data so that the digital twin can simulate the actual behavior of the product. This includes scheduling interactions and implementing real-time monitoring systems. Integrating this data allows the Digital Twin software to not only visually represent the product, but also accurately replicate its functionality.
  • Validation and Testing: Before the Digital Twin is ready for use, it must be thoroughly tested and validated. This process ensures that the digital twin works as expected and that all data is correctly integrated. During this phase, Osmotic’s Digital Twin was subjected to rigorous testing to ensure that it faithfully replicated Corsa’s water purification system.
  • Deployment and Maintenance: Once the Digital Twin has been validated, it is ready for deployment. However, the work does not end here. Regular maintenance and updates to the Digital Twin are crucial to ensure that it remains a faithful and useful replica of the real product. At Pixeldreams, we offer Digital Twin as a Service, which means that we take care of the maintenance and continuous updating of the digital twin, ensuring that it is always aligned with the needs and changes in the real product.

Advantages of Using a Digital Twin Platform

Using a Digital Twin platform offers multiple advantages for companies looking to stay ahead in their respective sectors. These platforms not only allow the creation of digital twins, but also facilitate their management and maintenance. With a Digital Twin platform, companies can monitor in real time, perform simulations, and optimize their processes without having to intervene in the physical world.

  • Real-Time Monitoring: A Digital Twin platform allows companies to monitor the performance of their products and systems in real time. This is especially useful in sectors such as manufacturing and energy, where problems can be detected and corrected before they become critical failures.

  • Simulations and Testing: Digital Twin applications enable simulations and testing in a virtual environment, reducing the costs and risks associated with experimentation in the physical world. For example, different operating scenarios for a product can be simulated to assess its performance under different conditions.
  • Continuous Optimization: Digital Twin applications offer the ability to analyze large volumes of data and apply artificial intelligence to identify optimization opportunities. This means that companies can continuously improve their products and processes, based on the data generated by the Digital Twin.
  • Scalability: A Digital Twin platform is highly scalable, allowing companies to expand their digital operations as they grow. This is crucial in a world where digital transformation is increasingly important for business success.
