Werfen, a leading medical technology company, identified the need to transform its traditional training processes into an immersive and collaborative experience.
The company required a solution that would allow its professionals to be trained in the use of medical equipment—Quantalyzer, Bioflash and Aptiva—through interactive simulations in a virtual environment, using tablets (iPad) and marker scanning to access clinical cases with predefined results and audiovisual resources.
Pixeldreams implemented a comprehensive solution based on advanced Augmented Reality techniques, developed in four phases. Initially, a 3D virtual laboratory was created that simulates a medical office, offering an access interface to the three clinical cases. This stage included detailed modeling of the medical equipment, ensuring an accurate and realistic representation that facilitates user interaction.
A 3D virtual laboratory was designed and modeled, set as a medical office/laboratory, which serves as a portal to access the three clinical cases. At the same time, realistic digital representations of the Quantalyzer, Bioflash and Aptiva equipment were developed, guaranteeing precision in visualization and user interaction.
An interactive interface was implemented that displays five elements in the virtual environment. When selecting any of these elements, the system displays a screen with predetermined results, established according to the training script. In addition, a video clip provided by Werfen was integrated, which is viewed before loading the panels in high resolution, enriching the interactive experience.
Nine interactive panels were designed for the Bioflash device. Each panel, when activated, presents a predetermined response through a Qlink-type screen, ensuring consistency with the expected training results. The corresponding audiovisual material was also included, following the same integration guidelines established in the previous phase.
In the case of Aptiva, 10 interactive panels were developed, programmed to show the predetermined clinical results. As in the previous phases, the video clip provided by Werfen was incorporated, allowing a fluid and coherent transition to the display of the panels in high resolution.
This technology improves training by offering agile content updates, reducing errors and optimizing resources, which translates into safer and more efficient training.
