Creation of a Home Automation Panel through 3D control interface.

EIM, Estudis i Muntatges entrusts Pixeldreams with the creation of a home automation control panel on a touch screen to manage a high standing home designed by the renowned architect Jean Nouvel.
Located in one of the most privileged enclaves of Barcelona, you will find this majestic 400 m2 penthouse in the heart of Barcelona's Passeig de Gràcia. What was the famous Martini terrace now converted into one of the most technologically advanced homes in the world. Even Mark Zuckerberg was a guest for a few days during the last MWC.

The project was carried out in collaboration with the Systems Integration company: EIM. An attractive touch interface, designed entirely in 3D, allows the user to access all the rooms of the house in a very visual way and execute a myriad of Home Automation functions, from the motorization of doors and windows to controlling the color of the lighting by rooms.

Our work consisted of creating a 3D graphical interface that would allow the sending and reception of Serial, Analog and Digital signals, establishing a communication protocol between the Unity graphics engine and the Crestron control panel. To achieve this communication it was necessary to program a communication Middleware between both systems.

The technological challenge was to integrate two apparently antagonistic systems: Crestron (Flash) with our video game engine and that the communication with the home hardware was in real time.
