Fungastic Virtual Reality educational project to show the use of good practices in the field of energy efficiency.
Gas Natural and the Anthesis company commission Pixeldreams to carry out a Virtual Scape Room to encourage the use of good practices in the field of energy efficiency. NEDGIA, in collaboration with the Naturgy Foundation, is the promoter of the Fungastic educational itinerant program. Fungastic makes mention of the three main axes of the proposal: fun, learning about gas energy and new technologies applied to education. The initiative, in which more than 6,000 compulsory primary and secondary education students from all over Spain participated, includes various activities adapted to the different stages to also publicize new uses of natural gas such as sustainable mobility or renewable gas.
The activities were coordinated and conducted by specialized educators from the LAVOLA - ANTHESIS company and were developed taking into account the new educational methodologies in the classroom, where experimentation and manipulation are the central axis of the activity.
Students from 1st to 6th grade of Primary (6 to 11 years old) participate in various dynamics to raise awareness about the limitation of energy resources, that they can acquire good practices on the consumption of natural gas at home and, at the same time, improve the quality of the air we breathe.
On the other hand, students from 1st to 4th of ESO (12 to 15 years old) are given a four-part enigma, scape room style, to try to respond to the energy challenges of the future and fight against climate change. for which they will have digital virtual reality and augmented reality tools.
Since its inception, in 2017, this itinerant program has already visited nearly 90 educational centers in our country, and had the participation of more than 6,000 students.

Over the coming months, more than 250 participatory pedagogical sessions, adapted to different school years, will be organized in 25 cities of Andalusia,
Castilla-La Mancha, Castilla y León, Catalonia, Community of Madrid, Valencian Community, Galicia, La Rioja and Navarra.
