Fundació La Caixa and Anthesis La vola commission Pixeldreams to create a gamification App using augmented reality to complement a traveling exhibition on Leonardo da Vinci.
Itinerant educational project by approaching the thought of Leonardo da Vinci and his attitude towards life in order to promote curiosity, critical spirit and the desire to know through observation and experimentation.
The aim of Pixeldreams was to create a discovery experience based on the essence of Leonardo's thought transferred to our days through augmented reality. The Leonardo CaixaForum app contains 3 3D models of his models that allow you to visualize in 360º what the original materials of the time looked like and to understand how the movements of his inventions should be, just as Leonardo had imagined them. The Augmented Reality app is complemented with scale models of some of his ingenuities, an audiovisual that speaks to us of observation, analysis and creativity, and experimentation games in AR in order to build bridges between his time and the present.
This exhibition brings us closer to Leonardo based on his most essential feature: his insatiable curiosity. Painter, engineer, musician, urban planner, naturalist, architect ... Leonardo da Vinci's creativity stems from an intellectual restlessness, from a universal curiosity.
Leonardo came to knowledge in a different way from that of his contemporaries, since he did so through a method based on observation, experimentation and analogy, which called into question the immutable theories and learned ideas.
If you download the app - Leonardo CaixaForum - and scan the QR from home, you can access all the content and continue enjoying the experience.

The full-scale models that Pixeldrreams modeled in 3D are faithful renderings of Leonardo da Vinci's original drawings and are built with materials from our time.
Observation, analysis, experimentation and the ability to establish analogies are key concepts in this project with which we invite you to explore one of the most brilliant minds in the history of humanity.
Play to understand, experiment to create. Discover, after Leonardo's achievements in the most diverse disciplines, the common denominator of intelligence and sensitivity, in order to apply his teachings to our way of understanding life.
The ”la Caixa” Foundation presents an exhibition whose object is intangible: Leonardo's thought and curiosity, his way of always going further in the knowledge. What attitudes and skills allowed you to innovate?
How is creativity enhanced? The link between Leonardo, straddling the 15th and 16th centuries, and us,
visitors to the exhibition in the 21st century, it is much more natural and direct than we could ever imagine ...
