Immersive technologies have grown exponentially in recent years. Entities linked to the educational world have seen the enormous potential of this type of tool and have begun to innovate in the sector. Virtual reality in education allows content to be taught with technological support, facilitating understanding by the student, while encouraging their participation.
At Pixel Dreams we have been offering immersive technology development for all types of companies and clients for more than 20 years. We are a virtual reality and augmented reality agency in Barcelona, and a few weeks ago we had the opportunity to welcome Xandal, the presenter of SOM Revolució, a TV3 technology outreach program, to our office.
Pixel Dreams showed TV3 a Virtual Reality scientific project commissioned by the Department of Prehistory of the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) for the virtual reconstruction of an Iberian settlement from the Bronze Age. Pau Escursell from Pixel Dreams explained that in order to reproduce the archaeological complex, a photogrammetric flight was carried out using a drone and the fortified access was virtually reconstructed, the square-plan houses built with stone and adobe, and a burial was represented inside one of the the palatial government rooms.
