Transforming Technical Data into Immersive Experiences

To turn technical information into an engaging and understandable experience, PixelDreams followed a structured workflow optimized for projects with tight deadlines and high technical requirements.

1. Data reception and analysis: Arctech provided precise CAD models and Excel documents detailing the position and behavior of each tracker. This data served as the foundation for defining motion logic and simulation accuracy, ensuring the experience faithfully reflected the real engineering of the systems.
2. 3D terrain modeling: Using reference photos from real installations, we modeled entire terrains in 3D, maintaining accurate proportions and details. The goal was to create a realistic environment that conveyed the scale and context in which the trackers operate.
3. Texturing and look development: We applied high-resolution realistic textures for ground, vegetation, and construction materials. Optimization techniques were used to ensure a visually appealing result without compromising real-time performance.

4. 3D animation of solar systems: The trackers were animated with precise movements reproducing their real-world operation, including special sequences simulating wind, snow, and the use of “Starshine” self-cleaning robots. This showcased not only mechanical design but also adaptability to diverse weather conditions through 3D animation.
5. Immersive 360º rendering: High-quality panoramic 360º images were generated with advanced lighting and dynamic shading, enhancing the sense of realism and scale—essential for creating an immersive experience in both VR and touchscreen displays.
6. Programming and interactivity: The application was implemented in HTML and JavaScript, programming terrain navigation, interaction events, and user-triggered animations. Floating windows with technical information, intuitive icons, and a user interface consistent with Arctech’s visual identity were also integrated.
7. Multiplatform publishing: The final product was deployed as an interactive web platform, accessible from computers, tablets, and smartphones, ensuring a consistent experience across devices. It was also prepared for trade show use with touchscreen displays and VR headsets, maximizing its impact in exhibition environments.
